Upholstery & Interior

The first step is to determine whether or not you want absolute originality. If you have a 32 Packard Sedan with a wool interior, ornamental stitching, hardwood veneers, and art deco embellishments, you don't want Orlon carpets and synthetic look-alikes. Modern plastic based carpet material looks modern. On the floor of your '94 Neon that's just great, on the floor of your 50 DeSoto it looks totally out of place.

Also remember that the interior is not composed of only the seats. The door panels are often complimentary, but not always, made of the same materials as the seats. And there are many other components such as kick panels, parcel shelves and headliners, which have to be matched with, but are not usually the same fabrics and design as the seats themselves.
