1927 Type 43 Bugatti

It is our great fortune to have been tasked with the care and maintenance of this wonderful car.

To date we have done many mechanical upgrades and repairs as well as cosmetic work to repair damage caused by its years of racing, the last of which was the 1999 Mille Milia in Italy.

1927 Bugatti Type 43 Grand Sport

This is a superb car, first featured at the Paris Auto show in 1927 and then sold to a Peruvian gentleman.

It remained in Peru until 1968 when it was purchased by a European hobbyist who restored and raced the car.

It's last major race was the 1999 Mille Miglia in Italy and not only did the car finish, it was also the subject of a one hour video which is now in editing.

The Type 43 Grand Sport is one of the most desirable of the cars from Molsheim. It has a supercharged straight eight 2.3 Litre engine and is virtually a road going version of the Type 35B Grand Prix Car. It was probably the fastest road car available in its time.
